Lee Boon Chye: Utusan UMNO Bankrupt of Ideas, 1 Malaysia Double Standard

(12th July, Ipoh) Dr Lee Boon Chye, Member of Parliament, Gopeng, slammed UMNO mouthpiece, Utusan Malaysia for its latest attack on Parti Keadilan Rakyat leader as well as parliamentary opposition leader Dato Seri Anwar Ibrahim as CIA agent. This proved that both Utusan Malaysia and UMNO are bankrupt of ideas and issues.
As a internationally respected leader, especially as a moderate and rational voice of Muslim community, obviously Anwar Ibrahim has large following and connection in the international community.
Attacking Anwar as CIA agent is to divert attention from real domestic issues of corruption, abuse of power and economic slowdown. They also attempt to tarnish image of Anwar especially among Malay community, as the credibility of Dato Seri Najib Tun Razak as Prime Minister as well as UMNO are all time low compared to all previous UMNO presidents and prime minister.
Dr Lee , who is Parti Keadilan Rakyat Vice President also criticise the contrasting, double standard by Home Ministry despite the so-called 1-Malaysia slogan. Suara Keadilan as Parti Keadilan Rakyat was denied permit, but both Suara Perkasa and Utusan Malaysia were off the hook and in fact given a freehand to spread blatant lies.
